It is very difficult to point down only five players from the huge list of football legends. This is more difficult to put the legends into an ordered list. However, the top five players are selected on the basis of the success in their career, individual performance to turn a match into their favor. The list is below:

  1. Pele:


The Brazilian  legend grabbed three world cup titles within a span of 12 years. He also has the record to debut as a teenager and performed heroics for his country. His contribution in the field has helped his country to win back to back world cups. However, the world cup trophy was then named as Jules Rimet trophy.

By winning 3 world championships Pele made the number 10 shirt legendary. His father was also a footballer at Flumenise, however he coundn't play laong time due to injury. Pele has achieved great remarks in club football also. In his club Santos he played excellently. However, he retired in the great Cosmos club by playing against the legendary indian football club Mohun Bagan.

The Argentinian legend started his football career in Argentinos Juniors. However, Diego Armando Maradona stirred the world by his playmaking ability and skills at the time of his play in Boca Juniors. He almost signed handedly won the 1986 world cup for Argentina. However, in that world cup a goal by hand of Maradona was famous as the ‘Hand of God’. The left footed magician made his club football presence very strong at the time of his career at Napoli. He gave the Italy based club huge success. The club honored him by naming the stadium after his name.

The eagerness to score, has made him the all time highest goal scorer of all time. The duel between him and Messi is the greatest duel of the footballing world. The world hasn't witnessed something like it. Unfortunately, the battle between them has come to an end as Ronaldo and Messi both left European club football. The 5th time Ballon D’or and Champions league winner has made a record at 2018 Russia World Cup after having a hattrick by the oldest player. He won the 2016 Euro cup and 2018-19 UEFA Nations cup for his country.
